Grahame Lister
A veteran singer-songwriter, Grahame Lister has been performing and writing successfully for over thirty years in his native Australia and the UK.
He released several solo singles in Australia before relocating to the UK in the seventies, where he began to make a name with his original and quirky material, including the radio favourite Automobile, a doo-wop acapella song released under the pseudonym of The Stick Shifts in 1980. At the time he played in several bands including Matthews Southern Comfort and Alaska.
Grahame's first big break in pop was the novelty song Arfur Daley (He's Alright) by The Firm, a top 20 hit in 1982, which he co-wrote, produced, and played on. The Firm continued to release singles until, in 1987, Grahame hit the jackpot with the No. 1 smash Star Trekkin' which topped the charts for 3 weeks and was a worldwide hit - again, Grahame co-wrote and produced, as well as performing on the record.
Subsequently, Grahame has recorded a number of solo albums returning to his country rock roots.
