Gina Villalobos

Gina Villalobos and her brand of infections, guitar-driven raunchy Americana rock with her debut Rock 'n' Roll Pony. In the UK the BBC's veteran broadcaster Bob Harris gave the album a ringing endorsement, and sealed her success in Europe before the US had caught on to this electric performer.

Before the album gained a full release Gina suffered a traumatic accident which resulted in her losing the sight of her right eye. Undeterred, Villalobos went on to enjoy the full release of Rock 'n' Roll Pony in the US in 2004.

Miles Away was Villalobos' follow-up album and was released to much critical acclaim in 2006. Following the same path as Rock 'n' Roll Pony, Miles Away has firmly established Gina as one of the best live acts around, with the live feel of her music captured faithfully on record.
