For the first time on DVD, From Nashville With Music is a visual movie jukebox of some of the biggest Country stars of the 1960's, including four true giants of the genre, Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and Don Gibson.
Containing rare footage that has barely been viewed since its theatrical release in 1969, there are many great cuts on offer, and a strong narrative which sees Leo G. Carroll of 'The Man from Uncle' fame partnered with Marilyn Maxwell.
The duo are rescued from a roadside breakdown, as Marty Robbins tour bus stops to offer assistance, only to befriend the pair and offer them tickets for the Grand Ole Opry, taking the audience on a journey joined by many of the great performers of the era, including Tammy Wynette, Don Gibson, Buck Owens, and George Jones.
Memorable performances include:
- Stand By Your Man (Tammy Wynette)
- A Happy state Of Mind (Bill Anderson)
- I've Got A Tiger By The Tail (Buck Owens)
- Hungry Eyes (Merle Haggard)
- I'll Be A Legend In My Time (Don Gibson)
