Ian Tyson - Four Strong Winds

Before Ian Tyson settled into his Cowboy country music, Ian with his wife Sylvia were in the vanguard of the sixties hippie folk movement. Four Strong Winds captures the sound and songs of that time, including the first recording of Dylan's Tomorrow Is A Long Time. Bob himself was a big fan, and the title track was to become a standard years laster at the hands of Neil Young.

Ian and Sylvia are probably not the names that most spring to mind when talking about the folksters of those days, but their influence was hugely influential throughout the sixties and seventies.
