Various Artists - Forever Changing: The Golden Age Of Elektra Records 1963 to 1973 [5 CD Set]

Elektra Records are a great choice for such an ambitious release as this 5 CD box set which traces the history of the label from 1963 to 1973. Including titles from the likes of Bread, Judy Collins, Election, The Beefeaters (who later became The Byrds), Fred Neil and many more, it is an excellent introduction not only to their wide range of artists and styles but an excellent way in for anyone interested in learning more about the music of the ‘60’s and early ‘70’s.

I wouldn’t even begin to start choosing a favourite track - there are too many - but it was certainly interesting hearing Judy Henske’s version of the Jefferson Airplane classic High Flying Bird, and you can’t beat a bit of Tim Buckley. ~ Full review at Subba Cultcha
