Forbidden Road
Peter Walsh looks and sounds like a classic 60s folk musician: a singer-songwriter with the passion of Bob Dylan and the finger picking style of Townes Van Zandt.
After listening to his music, you would be forgiven for thinking that the Rhymney River he grew up by is an extension of the Mississippi and his hometown of Cardiff is located somewhere between Georgia and Alabama.
Peter's debut album, Forbidden Road, is the culmination of two years worth of stories, Delta influences, and musical experimentation. He recorded and mixed these songs in a log cabin studio where he had previously immersed himself in the sounds of Townes Van Zandt, Mississippi John Hurt and early Johnny Cash for inspiration.
