Gene Clark's most artistically successful post-Byrds collaboration Dillard & Clark, is as much a Flying Burritos offshoot than one from the Byrds

The songs on the Dillard & Clark debut album The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard & Clark are slightly more original sounding than the follow-up Through the Morning, Through the Night, but nevertheless having both albums presented on on CD is a joy for fans of country-rock and bluegrass.

Including covers of tracks such as the Beatles' Don't Let Me Down and the Everly Brothers' So Sad these tracks are an essential addition to any collection, and the re-mastered state-of-the-art sound still holds up all these years later.
