Clay Walker - Fall

Clay Walker has released his first album in four years, Fall. The smooth-voiced Texan has enjoyed a career extending back to the early nineties CMT boom, but this album shows more maturity than some of his earlier releases.

Alan Jackson's producer Keith Stegall is at the controls for the first time, bringing out the humour as well as the emotion of the songs on Fall. The soulful ballads are Clay Walker's strong point, and particularly poignant is the duet with Freddy Fender on Before the Last Teardrop Falls. This was originally a hit for fender, and was recorded before his death in 2006.
