Emily Barker

Emily Barker burst onto the UK music scene in 2002 at the Cambridge Folk Festival, and her appearance there led to the formation of her band The Low Country and regular airplay thanks to the late John Peel.

Emily's earthy Americana sound, coupled with her leanings towards English folk have won her many new fans, both in the UK and in her native Australia. Emily was the recipient of an award for Country Song Of The Year at the prestigious Annual West Australian Music Songwriting Awards in 2005, and she has gone on to release her debut solo album Photos Fires Fables in 2006 to great critical acclaim.
