Elana James made her name as the skilful violinist and driving force in the Jazz-cum-western-swing combo Hot Club Of Cowtown.
When the Hot Club folded she went on to forge her own successful solo career, eventually releasing her debut self-titled album in 2007. James is one of the youngest members ever to be inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame.
