Easy
Kelly Willis has one of the finest country voices around, and after parting company with MCA following her early country-pop successes, she has produced a string of fine albums.
Easy was released in 2002 and is an intimate collection of country ballads drawing on the songbooks of husband Bruce Robison and the likes of Paul Kelly and Kirsty MacColl.
However, it is Kelly's own songs including What I Deserve, If I Left You and Wait Until Dark (written with John Levanthal) that show exactly what an excellent all-round talent she posesses.
Appearances from Vince Gill, Union Station's Dan Tyminski & Nickel Creek's Chris Thile supplement one of the best, and most underrated, albums of the year.
