Dan Tyminski is possibly best known as member of Alison Krauss' Union Station, but he is a noted bluegrass composer, vocalist, and instrumentalist in his own right. His debut solo album Carry Me Across the Mountain was released in 2000, with the follow-up Wheels finally seeing a release in 2008.
Tyminski won the 2001 CMA award for best single as well as a Grammy Award for best Country Collaboration with Vocals for his updated version of Man of Constant Sorrow which was heavily featured in the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?, providing the vocals for the movie's Soggy Bottom Boys.
In all, Dan Tyminski has won 10 Grammy awards for solo and collaborative projects.
