Confederate Railroad are the archetypal southern boogie good-time band. Since forming in the nineties and acting as a touring band for David Allan Coe and Johnny Paycheck, their debut album was certified double platinum.
Their follow-up CD Notorious was again certified platinum, but the latter part of the decade saw a bit of a lull in popularity for the high-energy honky-tonkers. A new label and new album in 2007 helped bring the band back into the public eye.
