Pat Green - Cannonball

Canonball still features Pat Green's trademark Texas rock in all its ragged glory, but these days his lyrics have matured, along with the subject matter. The beer-fuelled fun has been tempered slightly with the occasional heartfelt ballad, and the involvement of Sara Evans on Finder's Keepers has helped strengthen his standing with the country establishement.

The single Feels Like It Should is a hard-riffing anthem that namechecks 'The Boss' and there is a definite Springsteen/Mellencamp flavour to Cannonball. A massive draw in his native Texas, Pat Green is well on his way to replicating that success nationwide.
