Rita Hosking's voice has been called a 'soulful howl from the mountains'. Brought up in rural Shasta County, and the old-time band of seasoned mountain characters that took her under their wings, this California girl comes by her mountain-music sensibility with true authenticity, with original songs deeply rooted in her family's frontier experience.

Burn is the 2011 follow-up to the award-winning Come Sunrise, again recorded with Rich Brotherton at Ace Recording in Austin, Texas. Brotherton is a talented producer and recording engineer, as well as playing guitar in the Robert Earl Keen Band for many years.
