Boys Flowers Miles
An obscure German-American songwriter by the name of Antje Duvekot was being supported by radio station WERS in Boston when Irish folk supergroup Solas were looking for contemporary songwriters for an album project which was to be called The Edge of Silence. Ultimately a commercial and critical success, it was not the songs of Dylan, Waits or Drake that caused a stir amongst critics, but Antje Duvekot.
In advance of her first full studio album, Duvekot self-released Boys, Flowers, Miles, a live album capturing the intimacy of Antje's live performances which have been compared to those of Dar Williams. A modern day troubadour if ever there was one, Antje Duvekot can be found travelling the country, guaranteed to be playing at a coffee house or theatre somewhere near you soon.
