Billy Yates

Probably the best known song by Billy Yates is the George Jones massive 1993 hit I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair, but since that time Yates has had four more songs recorded by Jones, including the Grammy nominated Choices, along with other cuts by George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols and more.

His critically acclaimed self-titled album was followed by further recordings, and he is now releasing albums on his own label M.O.D. including Favorites in 2006 which features a duet with George Jones.

Yates worked his way from Missouri to Nashville the hard way including stints as a barber, and is now realising his long-held dream of becoming a full time recording artist.
