Alvarado are a distinctive band combining their own brand of contemporary country with the singing Telecaster sound of Buck Owens' Bakersfield. Throw in a bit of the traditional approach of Ray Price, Faron Young, even a little Tex-Mex, and you have a unique, heady blend.

Alvarado has a new CD release entitled After the Smoke Clears and they have enlisted the help of guests like Scott Joss and Skip Edwards from Dwight Yoakam's band, trumpeter Lee Thornberg from Tower of Power and the Tonight Show Band, and Marty Rifkin on steel guitar who's been playing with Bruce Springsteen and Jewel ... not too bad a pedigree.
