Patty Griffin's 1,000 Kisses is the 'pared to the bone' acoustic album which shows her exquisite and emotional talent as a singer-songwriter. The title is actually the English translation of the track Mil Besos on which Griffin tackles the Spanish lyrics with a sexy flair.

Recorded in the basement of Doug Lancio's Nashville home, (Griffin's long-time guitarist),and at Los Maranitas Studio, Austin, Texas, 1000 Kisses includes a spine-tingling version of Springsteen's Stolen Car. Long Ride Home has to be one of most haunting songs ever written while Making Pies, Rain, and Be Careful are also absolute jewels.
