Tedeschi Trucks Band / Revelator

Revelator is the recording debut of Tedeschi Trucks Band, an 11-piece outfit formed by husband and wife Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi. Both musicians have been fronting their own bands for over a decade and Trucks is also a member of The Allman Brothers Band, playing with his uncle, drummer Butch Trucks.

The band features a 3-piece horn section along with backing vocalists. This is however not a 'Delaney & Bonnie and Friends' or 'Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen'. Moreover, Revelator has an emphasis on songwriting and the singer, rather than brassy jamming.
